Vegan Maple Bacon (puke) Latte

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aguMoJq44XY

This is wrong on so many levels. Anthony Bourdain of the Travel Channel's No Reservations has made me want to gouge my eyes out by drinking a Vegan Maple Bacon Latte. I understand if no one reads any further on this post because your probably sprinting down the hall to your bathroom trying not to let the vomit escape your pie-hole. That's why I keep my trashcan by the computer! It's actually still full from when I watched the youtube clip!

Let me know what you think.

  1. The latte has real (non-vegan) bacon in it. The donuts are vegan.

It's enough to make your head explode in dissonance, but shouldn't make you vomit. Don't worry, that's real bacon.

  2. I know, it sounds wrong on so many levels. But it's Oh-So-Good. And its not vegan, they never claim it to be. I'm not a fan of Bourdain but he got it absolutely right with this one; it's divine. The first whiff reminded me of camping; coffee, bacon, and smokey aromas all mixed together. And the first sip is smooth, from the bacon fat I'm sure. And little bits of sweet/savory sprinkled on the foam gets stuck to your lips, which is a delight to lick off. It's a treat all the way to the bottom. The only part that I didnt like was the bits of bacon at the end; too much texture for my latte.
