Man vs. Food - Saddlebags @ The Buff Restaurant

So I'm watching Man vs. Food on TV the other night and Adam the host goes to this place called The Buff where he orders (off the menu) some "Saddlebags". These saddlebags are described on their menu as "PANCAKES FILLED WITH YOUR CHOICE OF DICED BACON, SLICED SAUSAGE, OR DICED HAM, TOPPED WITH TWO EGGS".
What they fail to mention and show in this picture is that the entire plate is then subjected to a waterfall of maple syrup...ALL UP IN THERE. Adam is all closing his eyes and groaning, acting like he's enjoying it when in reality he's closing his eyes so he can picture himself in a world without sweet meat. And that groan was his gut reacting to the putrid combination hitting his taste buds and knowing that he can't spit it up while the camera is rolling. This is a despicable ploy for ratings.

I hope the owners of The Buff are happy that they've sold their soul for the sake of some publicity. You people disgust me.

  1. No! I've ALWAYS loved sausage or bacon with maple syrup on top! It's deLISH!!! 'Saddlebags' sounds like heaven to me. Pork is fine with sweetness.

Now, sweet beef? THAT would be evil. :-)

  3. No Sweet Meat. There IS something wrong with you.You must have been short-changed in the taste bud department when you were born. Too bad for you. You can't know what you are missing. I have had various combination's of the above meats with pancakes, waffles and fried mush. All were delicious.

  8. I LITERALLY just made this breakfast... only I added chocolate chips to the bacon pancakes. Take your pretentious attitude about food, take a bit and why don't you actually try it before you talk smack about it

  13. Have had the Saddlebags and regularly cook breakfast for the kids...who love dipping sausage in syrup!!!! It's all good but it's a matter of taste. Vegetarians would hate it.
    Saddlebags are THE BOMB!!!

  14. Why dont you get a life instead of knocking other people for their creativity.
Is your life so miserable that the only way you can find some approval is taking other peoples ingenious ideas and bashing them? Next time you have a thought about posting something like this... DONT!!

  17. You contradict yourself... you descibe youself at the top of the page as "being different" by not liking sweet meats but than you assume that everyone shouldn't like it either... So which, is it because it can't be both.
